KLEINER, PERKINS, CAUFIELD Y BYERS, where legendary investor, John Doerr backed and mentored names such as Google, Amazon, Netscape, Intuit, etc. A regular on the Forbes Midas List, Mr. Doerr was ranked #1 on it in 2007. Al Gore, winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his work on environmental topics, joined Doerr at KPCB in late 2007. Ray Lane, former President of Oracle, is also a partner;
KHOSLA VENTURES, termed by Forbes as the “Number One VC on the Planet” is headed by Mr. Vinod Khosla, the founding CEO of SUN MICROSYSTEMS at age 28. Mr. Khosla went on to become a top partner at KPCB, with whom he co-invests regularly. Among his long list of successes are Amazon and Xilinx.
NEW ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATES – NEA, founded by Mr. Richard Kramlich, the first investor in Balloon Angioplasty technology, as well as in 3COM, the originator of Ethernet Technology, Juniper Networks, and many others.
